Terms
Terms of use
In short. Shu Shu helps you plan a trip. It is not a travel agent and doesn't book anything for you. We check our information with care, but opening hours and rules change, so check before you go. Purchases run through the App Store or Google Play. Dutch law applies.
1. Who we are and what these terms cover
Shu Shu Travel is a trade name of VVDS Beheer B.V., Plantage Muidergracht 99 C 12, 1018 TN Amsterdam, the Netherlands, KVK 94083223, info@shushutravel.com ("we"). These terms apply to the website shushutravel.com, the Shu Shu prototype and the Shu Shu app ("Shu Shu"). By using Shu Shu you accept these terms.
2. Shu Shu is a planning tool, not a booking agent
- Shu Shu helps you choose what to do and arranges your choices into a day plan, with the dates when bookings open.
- We don't sell or book travel, tickets, tours, rooms or restaurant tables, and we don't act on your behalf. You book directly with the provider, and your agreement is with them, on their terms.
- We are not a travel organiser or a seller of package travel or linked travel arrangements.
3. Information in Shu Shu
- We research every stop and show where the information comes from and when we checked it. Still, opening hours, closing days, prices, booking rules, transport times and seasonal events can change without notice.
- We don't guarantee that a place is open, that a booking is available, or that a time, price or rule is still correct. Check the official source before you travel or book.
- Booking dates are calculated from your choices and your departure date and shown in your own time and in Japan Standard Time (JST). They are a guide. You are responsible for booking on time.
- Weather, rain plans and travel suggestions are suggestions, not advice you must follow. Use your own judgement, especially for safety.
4. Trip codes and sharing
With a trip code you share one plan with others. Anyone who knows the code can see and change the trip. Keep it to your travel companions. You are responsible for what you write in notes and for not putting other people's personal details in them.
5. Free use and purchases
- You can start for free, with 5 swipes a day.
- The full trip costs €19.99 once per trip, including VAT. It is not a subscription and doesn't renew. One purchase unlocks that trip for everyone who uses its trip code.
- Purchases are made through the Apple App Store or Google Play, and their terms apply to payment and refunds. Ask Apple or Google for a refund; we can't issue one ourselves.
- The full trip is digital content that is unlocked immediately after purchase. By buying it you ask us to deliver it straight away and you accept that the 14-day right of withdrawal then ends, as far as the law allows.
- In the prototype there are no real payments. Unlocking is a test and costs nothing.
6. The prototype
The prototype is a test version, offered as it is and free of charge. It may change, stop working or be taken offline at any time, and synced trips may be lost. Keep your own copy of anything important, such as booking references.
7. Fair use
Don't misuse Shu Shu: don't try to break, overload or get around its limits, don't copy its content in bulk, and don't use it for anything unlawful.
8. Our content
The app, the design, the texts, the logo and the mascot are ours or used with permission. Photos come from the credited makers under their own licences. You may use Shu Shu for your own trips; you may not resell or republish its content.
9. Liability
We do our best to make Shu Shu accurate and reliable, but we are not liable for loss caused by information that turns out to be wrong or out of date, by a closed venue, a missed booking or a change of plans, or by Shu Shu being unavailable. Where we are liable, our liability is limited to the amount you paid for the trip concerned. This limit doesn't apply in case of intent or gross negligence, or where mandatory consumer law doesn't allow it.
10. Changes
We may update these terms, for example when the app launches. The date at the top shows the latest version. If a change matters for a trip you already bought, we will tell you in the app.
11. Law and disputes
Dutch law applies. Disputes go to the competent court in Amsterdam. If you are a consumer living in another EU country, you keep the protection of the mandatory law of that country and you may also go to the court where you live. Got a complaint? Email us first at info@shushutravel.com; we'll try to solve it together.
